Please note that people in the 50-64-year old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine, and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first. If you are 50-64 and you are in one of the other groups which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.
We are still finalising the details of our flu clinics and we hope to start sending invitation letters out the first week in September to those who are eligible. As a reminder these are:
all children aged two to ten (but not eleven years or older) on 31 August 2020
• those aged six months to under 65 years in clinical risk groups
• pregnant women
• those aged 65 years and over
• those in long-stay residential care homes
• close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
• health and social care staff employed by a registered residential care/nursing home, registered domiciliary care provider, or a voluntary managed hospice provider
We look forward to seeing you at one of our planned clinics. Please note that due to the unprecedented challenges we are facing in delivering the vaccine safely this year we are inviting specific cohorts to planned clinics concentrating on the most at risk first. If you are unable to attend vaccination will not be available outside of these clinics during normal surgery times.
Please be assured that we will be operating a socially distant queuing system and strict infection control measures to reduce the risk of COVID-19. You will be asked screening questions at the clinic but do not attend on the day if you or anyone in your household has any symptoms of COVID-19.

Do I Need A&E?
If you’re feeling unwell and you are unsure about where to go, then just follow this link to the Sheffield Choose Well Guide, which will help you choose the right place for treatment.
Here in Sheffield we have a range of local NHS services to choose from and it doesn’t have to be A&E.
