As we are a training practice; we have a GP registrar (who is a fully qualified doctor) as part of their further training in General Practice, usually for either 6 or 12 months at a time.
Every 4 months a new Junior Doctor will join the practice. They are fully qualified doctors and are here as part of their continued training. For the first few weeks they will sit in with one of the doctors or a member of the clinical team, e.g. nurse or midwife, to observe their consultations. A notice will be on display during this time informing patients of this. Please feel free to tell the receptionist if you would prefer the junior doctor not to be present during your consultation.
