Meningitis

We’re aware of the current outbreak of Meningitis B in Canterbury and understand that this may be worrying.

At present, there is no NHS catch-up vaccination programme in England for Meningitis B. This means we’re only able to offer the vaccine to children under the age of 2 as part of the routine schedule.

If you would like to access the Meningitis B vaccine outside of this programme, it may be available through private GP services. Unfortunately, we’re not able to recommend specific private providers.

For more information about meningitis, including symptoms and when to seek help, please visit the NHS website
